Primarily focusing his practice on family law and divorce, Rolf D. Kruger
is certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in these areas
and has been since 2004. His compassion for his clients and persistence
in negotiation and litigation are the qualities that differentiate him
in the field of family law practice.
Mr. Kruger assists his clients through the most complex of divorce cases,
handling everything from child complex move custody disputes, including
move away issues, to division of the most complext property and assets.
Mr. Kruger worked for Dean Witter which was merged into Morgan Stanley
prior to law school, and has a degree in Finance from Santa Clara University.
He excelled in accounting. Since graduation, he has remained fluent in
accounting, tax and complex financial issues, including venture funding
and crypto currencies (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other alt
coins). His varied experience is the benefit of his clients in high-profile
divorce cases and he has often been requested as a consultant for parties
Mr. Kruger's commitment to excellence for his clients is evident in
his awards and recognitions, including his appointment to the State Bar
Family Law Advisory Commission by the Board of Governors of the State
Bar of California in 2009. He was named vice president for the state board
in 2011 and chair in 2013-2014. He is also now a member of the California
Board of Legal Specialization (CBLS). He carries an A-V-Preeminent Status*

His interest in the well-being of his clients also extends to his commitment
to his community, as he serves in several local bar associations and as
judge pro tem in the Santa Clara County Superior Court.

Mr. Kruger is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the Santa
Clara County, San Mateo County and Palo Alto Area Bar Associations. Prior
to joining the bar in California in 1995, he practiced in Oregon, an equitable
distribution state. Mr. Kruger also serves regularly as a judge pro tem
for the Santa Clara County Superior Court in divorce and family law matters.
This position enables Mr. Kruger to better act as an effective and empathetic
attorney in his law practice and when acting as a divorce mediator for parties.
Mr. Kruger has been named a family law Super Lawyer™ for the past
six years, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in Northern
California. In 2014, Super Lawyers™ ranked Mr. Kruger in the elite
Top 100 attorneys over all practice areas in Northern California. For
the past several years, Mr. Kruger was appointed by the Board of Governors
for the California State Bar to be a commission for the Family Law Advisory
Commission for all certified family/divorce law specialists in California.
In 2012-2013, Mr. Kruger was the vice-chair of the commission, and in
2013 the Board of Governors for the state bar appointed Mr. Kruger as
the Chair for the Family Law Advisor Commission.

Born and raised in San Mateo County, Mr. Kruger fills his spare time with
family, boating, and traveling.

Mr. Kruger is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law in Salem,
Oregon with a three-year Trustee Scholarship. He earned his J.D. in 1994,
as well as a Certificate in Dispute Resolution. The Willamette University
Center for Dispute Resolution at the College of Law has been rated as
one of the top five dispute resolution programs in the country by U.S.
News and World Report. While attending Willamette University College of
Law, Mr. Kruger was the President of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
Mr. Kruger received his Bachelor of Science in finance in commerce from
Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business in 1991. While
attending SCU, he was honored by the international business honor society,
Beta Gamma Sigma, and chaired the Theta Chi Fraternity Alumni Committee.
